Mosaic crochet is the latest up and coming colourwork technique allowing one to crochet 2 colour patterns working with only one yarn at a time per row/round. The technique is relatively simple, using only dc, tr, and ch stitches, and yet the result is modern geometric patterns that will impress. The workshop will cover both inset and overlay mosaic techniques as well as how to read mosaic charts. Participants will work on a couple of samples. Suitable for those comfortable holding crochet hook and yarn, know how to chain, dc, tr, and can read basic crochet patterns.
Materials needed: You will need 50g each in two shades of smooth double knit weight yarn and a 4mm crochet hook
Skill level: You should be comfortable with the basics of crochet (chain, double, treble stitches) and some familiarity of reading a crochet pattern.
