In this class, you’ll delve into the renowned Fair Isle knitting technique, mastering essential skills such as interpreting patterns, yarn stranding, handling floats, maintaining consistent tension, and managing yarn ends.
This course offers a comprehensive introduction into two colour stranded knitting giving you the confidence to tackle your first stranded colourwork project.
Skills needed: you should be comfortable with the basics of knitting: casting on, knit and purl stitches.
We will be knitting "flat" in this workshop.
You will need to bring a pair of 4mm knitting needles and up to 50g each in Double Knit weight yarn in two contrasting shades (preferably one lighter and one darker shade).
