Easy-care with a rich, cushy hand, Alegria is perfect for socks, baby gear, or fun accessories.

Established in 1968, Manos del Uruguay is a socially-conscious organisation dedicated to elevating the quality of life for Uruguay's rural women. This organisation was created from a need to generate income and encourage personal development, crafting beautiful, ethical, and sustainable garments and yarns through traditional skills and locally sourced wool. Each piece holds the artisan's signature and, with it, their unique story.

Manos del Uruguay operates as a non-profit with 12 cooperatives. These co-ops are deeply woven into small village communities across Uruguay, with profits either shared among members or reinvested into the organisation. As a proud member of the World Fair Trade Organization since 2009, Manos del Uruguay values equity and transparency in international trade.

The organisation holds a strong commitment to preserving Uruguay's crafts, traditions, and natural resources, beautifully demonstrated through their distinct, hand-dyed yarns. Recognised for high-quality standards, Manos del Uruguay has earned collaborations with global brands like Polo Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, and Stella McCartney, continually evolving to meet the world's demands.
