ISAGER TVINNI was developed by Marianne Isager together with the Danish spinning mill, ”Skive Uldspinderi”. It consists of the finest merino quality, virgin wool, which is first cut lambswool. The long and fine fibres make a very durable quality. They describe this as their finest yarn, which wears out beautifully. A sweater knitted in Tvinni has a long life if treated with care. As this is a two ply yarn it is suitable for knitting stocking stitch in the round and due to its lightness, it can be used in various combinations, alone or together with other qualities, in e.g. Fair Isle and Norwegian knitting.

Since 1977, Isager, a Danish company, has been furnishing the knitting world with natural fibre yarns and unique patterns. Founded by Marianne Isager, in partnership with her daughter Helga, the company has produced a successful line of knitting books and quality yarns, available in selected stores worldwide. Their story began with Åse Lund Jensen, who drew inspiration from Icelandic and Faroes knitting cultures, crafting a high-quality wool range still cherished today, including her favorites, Spinni and Jensen Yarn. Åse's pioneering spirit continues to influence the brand, driving Isager's commitment to knitting as a recognized craft. Today, Isager, residing in the picturesque village of Tversted, Jutland, offers not just yarns, but also a rich tradition and timeless patterns. We stock Isager not only for their gorgeous and unique offerings, but also for their commitment to sustainable and ethical practices in the creation of their products.
