Knitting in the Round Part 3: Double Pointed Needles

About this experience

In the third of our knitting in the round series, we will learn the traditional technique of knitting with double pointed needles (DPNs) which allow us to knit almost any circumference.  DPNs are most commonly used now for small tubular knits such as socks, wrist warmers, gloves and sleeves.

 

You Will Need To Bring:

  • 50g of double knit (DK) or worsted weight yarn.

  • 4.5mm Double Pointed Needles.  

     

Skill Level:

You should be comfortable with the following

  • Casting On
  • Knit Stitch 
  • Purl Stitch
  • Casting Off
