Sheepsoft brings together two British breeds that bring out the best in each other: Bluefaced Leicester for softness and drape, and Masham for strength and durability. The fleece comes from some of the finest flocks in Britain and is spun, dyed and finished in Yorkshire, travelling less than 50 miles from fleece to finished skein.
The natural shades of the Masham are blended with dyed Bluefaced Leicester, which is what gives this yarn its heathered depth and a lovely bit of character in your knitting.

Laxtons mill in Baildon, West Yorkshire, has crafted natural fibre yarns for four generations, and it's still where we spin today.
In 2020 we launched our first handknit collection, By Laxtons, to put our yarn straight into makers' hands.
Today we are evolving the brand into bramble & fleece. Every one of our natural fibres is sourced with care and spun here at our Yorkshire mill.
